Founded in 1978, Trident Company has grown and excelled for more than three decades. Part of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, Company P-2 is one of the most distinguished and decorated outfits in the Corps, currently holding 1stPlace in the Bruno A. Hocmuth Award for Military Excellence.

We are part of the 1st Regiment, one of the largest Naval ROTC units in the United States. Trident Company seperates itself from the rest of the Aggie Corps by focusing on more military styled training. Company P-2 consistently produces more cadets with military contracts than any other outfit. In the class of 2011 over 70% have contracts with the military. (14% USN, 56% USMC).

This is not to say that we do not also produce highly developed civilian leaders. Of those not pursuing military contracts in the class of 2011, all are currently attaining to receive Leadership Certificates which, upon graduation, will be an enormous boon in setting one’s self apart from the rest of the college graduates. These certificates, and the association with the Corps of Cadets, will set you above the rest when looking for a job in this troubled economy.

On the Quad, Tridents have participated in Recon Company (1
st Sgt 2009-2010), SEAL Platoon (Commander for 2010-2011), the Ross Volunteers (The honor guard of the Governor of Texas), Darling Recruiting Company (Off-Campus 1st Sgt 2009-2010), O.R. Simpson Honor Society and the National Champion fish Drill Team.

Outside of the Corps, we are active in MSC Committees, Student Senate, Habitat for Humanity, Big Event, and various other service, professional, religious, political and fraternal organizations. We also participate in intramurals such as football, soccer and volleyball.

As cadets we also serve the community both as a company and on an individual basis. From tutoring 3rd graders to fundraising for March of Dimes, we lead through service.

We are a proud outfit and we have every reason for that pride. Trident Company consistently produces leaders of character and it shows. 3 of the past 4 Commanders for 2nd Regiment have been from P-2. The chaplain of P-2 for the 2009-2010 year has received the “Best Chaplain in the Corps” award both semesters.

If you want an outfit that will not only challenge you, but develop you as a leader of moral standing and character, join Company P-2. If you want an outfit that will push you to your physical limits and make you faster and stronger than you’ve ever been, join P-2. If you want an outfit that will keep you accountable in academics and mentor you through your college career, join P-2. And if you want anything otherwise, look elsewhere because P-2 is not for you.
