Why P-2?
To call yourself a Trident means more than just explaining what outfit you’re in. To be a Trident is something different – something more. Often, Cadets are assigned to an outfit, and only over time develop loyalty and pride. One thread common to all Tridents, from the recently graduated class of ‘06 to the very first Tridents of ‘78, is that we are proud of our outfit. In addition to commissioning more officers proportionately than any other outfit in the Corps, in recent years we have had command presence in a range of Corps organizations, including S.E.A.L. Platoon, RECON Company, Fish Drill Team, and various staff positions. More importantly, we feel a strong commitment to “off-the-quad” activities. Cadets in our outfit are members of multiple MSC Committees and other extracurricular activities, including intramural football, softball, soccer, and more. Tridents have a longstanding tradition of giving back to our community in a variety of ways, from tutoring 3rd graders in the HOSTS program to raising much needed money for The March of Dimes. In short, to call yourself a Trident is to hold yourself to a higher standard – a standard of excellence.
We are excellent at what we do. We are in the business of developing values-based leaders of character. If you want to learn how to hold yourself to a standard of excellence, Company P-2 is your first and only choice.
